SHōYU
PHILOSOPHY

When you get your hot bowl of ramen — you dig in and crush the bowl straightaway. You take a photo for Instagram and chit chat with friends — your noodles get soggy. In Japan legendary chef Sano-san aka “Oni” which means “demon” — threw away his guests for this kind of behavior in his ramen shop. Itadakimasu, taste the broth, eat & slurp for maximum flavor — that is the way of menya Shōyu!

OUR RAMEN
NOODLES

When ramen is served, start eating it straightaway. The basic philosophy of Japanese table manners is to show appreciation to the host by eating what is served when it's at its best quality. Waiting and letting the noodles get soggy is not good.
